Hi there - I've been trying to resolve this issue for days so I'm hoping someone has the answer here.
On a managed computer, if I issue a "Boot to Automation Folder" task, the task is successful and I can proceed with manually issuing another task. If I have a job with something like "Boot to Automation Folder" followed by "Erase Disk", the Automation Folder task times out but the managed computer did in fact boot into WinPE. No further tasks can be issued to the PC until you restart back into OS (manually restart PC).
I noticed in the Altiris Log Viewer that if I issue the Automation folder task insidde a job, I see the following errors:
The handler 'GetClientTaskServers' is failed to process request. Called by unknown endpoint '97156db3-5279-425c-b78f-c32a565937d5'.
This error repeats itself every few minutes untill I restart the PC. From the logs before it, I think Altiris is trying to register the PC as a "new registration" instead of recognizing it as the managed computer and continuing to issue tasks.
Here's what I've tried already:
1) Rebuilt PEInstall images.
2) Make sure boot image is updated on workstation.
3) Remove/readd Altiris Agent on workstation within the OS.
4) Recreate the Automation Folder task and associated jobs.
Any suggestions on fixing this issue would be greatly appreciated - it is driving me nuts.
