Migrate then Upgrade 11.x/12.1.4

I need a solution

I'm having some issues with upgrading 11.0.5002.333 to 12.1.4

By the end of the process I want to have Machine_1 clean from SEPM and Machine_2 running 12.1.4 as the primary SEPM install.

Machine_1 : Windows 2003 R2 SP2 32bit, IP - X.X.30.225

Machine_2 : Windows 2008 R2 SP1 64bit, IP - X.X.30.209

Currently Machine_1 has it's SEPM on drive D:\Program Files, I was hoping to first upgrade Machine_1, then migrate primary control to Machine_2. Unfortunately Machine_1 only has 600MB free space on C:\ and only 12GB total. Machine_1 D:\ has 200GB free space. When I try to run Setup.exe from "Symantec_Endpoint_Protection_12.1.4a_Part1_Installation_EN.exe" it says it doesn't have enough room to install.

Since there isn't enough space on Machine_1, am I correct in assuming I should use the Disaster Recovery migration method and uninstall SEPM 11.x from Machine_1, remove all clients, then install SEPM 12.1.4 on the new server and push new clients to users?

Or, should I instead replicate Machine_1 to Machine_2, then make Machine_2 the primary SEPM, then upgrade? I'm not certain but I think this might make future replications impossible, and we have a new remote site that could benefit from replication.

I've backed up the keystorePass, DomainID, Encryption Password, IP Address, Host Name, and Site Name information, would this information still apply to the new server? Or if I'm clean installing can I just enter the new SEP license and Serial?

Thanks in advance and please let me know if I need to provide further information.
