Looking for documentation on Inventory for Server solution

I'm looking for as much detailed documentation as I can get on Inventory for Server solution ........ and specifically for Database (MS SQL, MySQL and Oracle) inventory.

I already have the Inventory Solution 7.1 User Guide and the Inventory for Server 7.1 Release Notes but these do not go into any level of detail that we would need to grow the use of this product. 

In summary what I need to know is what level of inventory detail the solution CAN return and what specific credentials I would then need to set up at database level to ensure that this data is returned. 

Any KB links to custom solutions to complete this requirment would also be much appreciated.
