After problems with migrated installs, found posting saying problem fixed with clean install so uninstalled and started clean, no joy. Updated to build 1206 and reverified router, windows firewall etc... WINXP will not connect to WINXP hosts. After long delay .... recieve "Communication Error" "Unable to attach to specified device". Have unchecked prompt to confirm connection and prompt allow? what ever it is, no joy.
All running Norton ANtivirus (current program and updates) with windows firewall exceptions for pcanywhere exes. Router port forwards are good. Can connect from WIN7 to WIN7 hosts running NIS. Anyone have it working with WINXP to WINXP, Norton Antivirus config? Had tried disabling antivirus and firewall on version prior to last update.
Do I need to get the Solution version? It's not a version upgrade so why does support only give me the 12.5.5 version download?
