Saving Report Parameters across session

I've created a Basic computer report with Filter. I change the filter and close the report. When I reopen the refresh box is unchecked and the filter is reset to the default filter. How can I retain the filter and check in the Refresh box across sessions?

I've played with snapshot. You have to select a snapshot and the refresh box is unchecked.

Some Reports have the refresh box checked. Some have the filter saved. I have no idea how that happened.

Any help would be appreciated.
