We have a lot of drivers that need to run post installation as the manufacture does not allow direct inf installation. The trouble is that NS doesn't include computer model as part of a basic inventory and so the filters for installation do not work until inventory runs. Inventory only runs on a schedule and doesn't seem to be scheduleable as "run once immediatly".
Running a hardware only inventory will populate vHWComputerSystem with model information.
Running a software inventory will populate Inv_Manufacturer with model information.
I've tried combing through the agent logs to find the command that the SMP agent runs to gather an inventory but have had no success. Short of adding a bunch of custom scripts to the post config script to do this manually, I don't see how to make NS install drivers in a timely fashion. I do not want to have imaging tasks per model but rather managed software delivery jobs using a model filter.
