Adding Connection context to Servicedesk

I need a solution

Hello,

I'm working on Servicedesk 7.6 and trying to setup a connection to my old Servicedesk 7.1 database so I my users can search for old tickets but not have to go back in to the old console. I'm having a difficult time trying to getting th connection setup. Can anyone give me some ideas on how to correctly do this.
