Patch management hardware and network requirement

Hello,

We are planning on deploying patch management solution in an environment with 3500+ machines.

I would like to know what the ideal hardware requirements for the Altiris setup should be viz. NS, Site servers, SQL database server etc.

Also, the network bandwidth available would be about 150 kbps (60% of 256 kbps due to QOS). So we are planning on manually distributing patches to site servers via usb drives rather than downloading from NS to overcome the network limitation. I would like to know if this would be feasible/possible?
