Patching Office 365 Click-to-Run

I need a solution

There's a couple of threads* regarding this but since some time has passed I'm wondering if there's any new communal knowledge.

We're starting a small Office 365 64-bit pilot and I'm trying to figure out the best way to manage the updates.  We need a way to centrally manage, test, and widely distribute with our site servers.

As I understand it MS doesn't release patches for O365, they release new builds which are the entire install.  The clients rely on the Click-to-Run executable to compare against the new build and download only the new/necessary bits.   So we're not going to see these come through the Patch Management streams.  I'm also not keen on using software delivery like one would normally do since it would delivery the entire 1GB package to each client (albeit via our distributed site severs) even though they only need a fraction of that data.

Is there maybe some way to distribute the bits to the site servers and then use a SWD policy to dynamically point the client's Click-to-Run agent to it?

  Thanks,

     Bryan
