We have a webservice caller that we use to generate pdf files from crystal reports.
What happens is that our processes generate and XML file and they send that to the webservice caller which writes the XML file to a specific location. A third party product then loads that xml file and geneartes the PDF file and drops it back into a specific location.
The web service caller monitors that drop location on 5 second intervals. If the file isnt there it waits and goes back again. We have each process set to look for a certain amount of time before it times out.
The problem we are facing is the first time the process gets called in the monring (After an extended break) it will drop the file in and the third party product drops the file in the drop location within the variable but the caller will never pick it back up and errors. After it errors once in the morning it works again all day no issues. Somes days we put upwards of 100 files through this thing with out any issue other then the first time in the morning. Any idea why the process would cut out half way through first time in the morinig?
I am going to drop some email components in and see if I can find the break point.
