Report to tell when a machine is undock or when a laptop goes from wired to wireless

I have been tasked to see if I can find a report to tell if a laptop has been undocked or switches from a lan IP address to a wireless IP address, we are trying to justify or save money from buying so many laptops which end up staying in the office docked over night instead of being taken home and used.
