[Asset] How it really works!?

Hello everyone,

I'm newbie implementing an Asset Management Solution, and I really need to know what's the goal of the product.

I know quite well CMS and Deployment, but I can't seem to get the idea of Asset.

I don't have a prior knowledge of Asset, so that maybe why I don't get it

Need help!
