ITMS 7.5 SP1 - CRC/hash checks for packages

Hello everyone,

I have a question for which I haven't found any answer yet.

Can anybody explain in detail how the CRC/hash checks are done on the packages? Is the hash applied for every single file in the package? 

My concern is if one single file is corrupted in a large package, does this file get's redownloaded or will it remove the whole package end download it again on the endpoint ?

Some packages could have 10 GB and are in distant locations with slow line.
